US President Donald Trump claimed that Washington would not remove sanctions imposed against Iran to conduct negotiations.
President Trump’s remark came in response to a comment by Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif, who said that Iran would negotiate with the US if sanctions are lifted. “No Thanks,” Trump tweeted late Saturday both in English and Farsi.

Zarif quickly reacted to Trump’s tweet and posted an excerpt from his interview where he made his remark about lifting sanctions. Zarif suggested that Trump shall “base his foreign policy comments & decisions on facts” instead of relying on headlines of media outlets “or his Farsi translators.”
