Trump does not need banks


On Monday, the New York Times reported on transactions of Deutsche Bank, with the participation of legal entities controlled by the President and his son-in-law Jared Kushner. Some of the transactions included cash flows to both sides with foreign legal entities or individuals, some of which were from Russia. The times report, which referred to unnamed sources, said that anti-money laundering experts at Deutsche Bank recommended in 2016 and 2017 to report multiple transactions to the Federal observer for financial crimes. All However, none of this was done. In addition, Congress and the state of new York are already investigating the relationship between trump, his family and Deutsche Bank, and require documents related to any suspicious activity. Trump sued in court, trying to block the transfer of documents that were sent to Deutsche Bank, Capital One and the accounting firm Mazars.

Donald Trump described the reporting as ‘phony’ and called Deutsche Bank ‘very good and highly professional’. He also said the “fake media … always uses unnamed sources (because their sources don’t even exist)”.

Earlier, in his report on the interference in the Russian elections, the special adviser to the Robert Mueller have not found that trump had entered into a conspiracy with Moscow. But he laid out evidence of extensive contacts between trump’s aides and Russia.

On Monday, Trump tweeted: “The new big story is that Trump made a lot of money and buys everything for cash, he doesn’t need banks. But where did he get all of that cash? Could it be Russia? No, I built a great business and don’t need banks, but if I did they would be there.”

However, all this history has led to the fact that Deutsche Bank shares have already decreased by 2.8% on Monday.
