U.S. may support licenses to renew Huawei sales


According to the recent efforts of Donald Trump on weakening limits towards the Chinese company are likely to go forward, the U.S. may support licenses to renew Huawei sales for 2 weeks.

However, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross denounced that licenses must be given where there are not any threats to national security.Trump and the Commerce Department think that chip industry lobbying with political pressure would renew Huawei sales in the U.S.

Two American anonymous chipmakers supplying Huawei production are said to apply for gaining extra licenses after Ross’s commentaries.

Figures show that among $70 billion spent on acquisition of components in 2018, there were $11 billion for the American companies such as Qualcomm (QCOM.O), Intel (INTC.O) and Micron Technology (MU.O).

Representative of Huawei said that limitations of list with the enterprises must be cancelled, “rather than have temporary licenses applied for U.S. vendors.” Huawei was admitted to be guilty towards absence of proper offences.
