Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed his view on the US President Donald Trump’s claims about Russian aid to Syria, TASS reported.
Peskov had a phone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in which he confirmed that Russia kept on supporting the Syrian army in the fight with terroristic groups.
«Russian Armed Forces, Russian advisors continue to support the Syrian Armed Forces in their fight against terrorists. We continue to deplore the terrorists’ ramped up activity in Idlib,» the Kremlin spokesman said.
Nevertheless, the American authorities «conveyed the United States’ desire to see an end to Russia’s support for the Assad regime’s atrocities and for a political resolution to the Syrian conflict.»
The conflict was fueled by Russian and Turkish presence in Idlib which tried to reach the agreement on the ceasefire but failed with the death of their soldiers.
