US President Donald Trump said he would want to attend the 75th celebrations of the Victory over Nazi Germany in 2020 in Moscow, Russian News Agency TASS reported Saturday.
According to TASS, President Trump told the reporters that he is thinking about visiting Russian capital next year.
“That’s right. I was invited,” Trump said. “I’m thinking about it. That’s right in the middle of our campaign season. But I would certainly think about it. President Putin invited me. It’s a very big deal – celebrating the end of the war etc etc. Very big deal. So I appreciate the invitation.”
The POTUS went on to repeat that the celebration of the Victory Day would be in the middle of political reason, which would make it harder for him to find time and visit Moscow. “But I would love to go if I could,” he said.
Vladimir Putin, President of Russian Federation invited his American counterpart during the G20 Summit in Japan earlier this year.
