A new version of the Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian interference into the 2016 presidential elections went public on Monday in response to a lawsuit filed by BuzzFeed News.
This version of the report, unlike the previous one, is less redacted and sheds light on why some of the parts were blacked out earlier. The redacted information was labeled to four types: grand jury information, sensitive or classified information, information related to the ongoing investigations, and derogatory information.
BuzzFeed will now have an opportunity to scrutinize the less-redacted version of the report and make its comments on whether or not the previous redactions were legitimate.
