CNN reported on Tuesday that Müller and his team are concerned by a political situation which can develop in case of his public statement before Judicial committee of the House of Representatives. It is ready to give evidences behind closed doors, but not at public hearings with television cameras.
Such unwillingness of Mueller to speak publicly about the own report upset democrats. So, the chairman of trial chamber Gerry Nadler (D-NY) insists that Mueller is obliged to demonstrate the work publicly. He is even ready to hand him, if necessary, the summons.
“Eventually we will hear from Mueller because … we will subpoena him if we have to,” Nadler told CNN. “I certainly hope it doesn’t come to the, to our necessity to subpoena him.”
