Kim Kardashian West has been working with the US President Donald Trump on prison reform. In her interview with Van Jones on Saturday celebrity declared “I guarantee you the people sitting behind bars do not care who the president is. They just want that relief.”
Kardashian West said she has a “relationship with the White House” and “we’re still working on a lot of, hopefully, more clemencies, and there’s a lot more that we’re working on.”
Last year Kardashian West met with the President in Oval Office to plead the case of Alice Marie Johnson, nonviolent drug offender, and one week after the meeting Trump commuted Johnson’s life sentence. She has been working on prison justice reform ever since. Now Kardashian West is working as an apprentice to a lawyer and wants to take the California bar exam in 2022 in order to become an attorney as her late father, Robert Kardashian, who was O.J. Simpson’s defense attorney. “It’s in me” said Kim.
