A congresswoman and presidential candidate of the Democrat party, Tulsi Gabbard filed a suit against Hillary Clinton for defamation, New York Post reported on Tuesday.
Gabbard recalled that Hillary called her a Russian asset in 2016 and now demands the satisfaction of $50 million.
“Tulsi Gabbard is running for President of the United States, a position Clinton has long coveted, but has not been able to attain. In October 2019 — whether out of personal animus, political enmity, or fear of real change within a political party Clinton and her allies have long dominated — Clinton lied about her perceived rival Tulsi Gabbard.”
“She did so publicly, unambiguously, and with obvious malicious intent,” the statement on Gabbard’s pre-election website said. Gabbard filed a suit in July 2019 in which were stated that Hillary deliberately slandered the presidential candidate for an attempt to break the election campaign.
The scandal arose after the resounding interview of Hillary Clinton in October 2019 when she met with the US political strategist David Plouffe. While discussing the initial election, Clinton said: “She’s the favourite of the Russians.” The former State Secretary refused to comment on her own words.
According to Gabbard, the suit must teach a lesson to her and her campaign who spread a lied and distort reality. Tulsi is determined that the former State Secretary’s claims are groundless and Clinton herself should answer for words before the court.
We remind of the Democrats who had been doing the investigation about alleged ties of US President Donald Trump with Russia for a long time but did not succeed. Rober Mueller alongside his team spent 2 years but failed to find evidence of collusion.
