While the US President Donald Trump is blasting immigrants and his administration is authorizing raids to deport those undocumented, living in America, Christina Greer, Fordham Professor, reminded him that his own family consists of immigrants, reported the Raw Story Monday.
“Mind you, he’s a child of immigrants and twice married to two immigrants, right? Four of his five children are children of immigrants, but he has to use this rhetoric to make sure that he can frame all of his failures in a way that it’s never him and it’s always someone else who is taking away from the good, ‘white Americans’ who deserve to be here,” Greer said speaking on MSNBC Monday.
President Trump has been married three times and two of his wives were not born in America. The First Lady of the US Melania Trump was born in Slovenia and is an immigrant, which makes Trump’s son Barron a son of immigrants.
Greer commented on Trump’s attack at four freshmen congresswomen by saying: “The particular ire that he has to these public servants is really disgusting. But the problem is, it’s not just the president, it’s the silence of the Republican Party.”
