Two deputies in Florida, Jessica Innis and Daniel DeLima, gunned down a man, who allegedly threatened them with a knife, reported BRADENTON HERALD Sunday.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the deputies were called to resolve a domestic dispute on Friday. When they arrived at the place, they saw a 37-year-old man, whose name has not been released, “waving a large knife in front of the home.” Reportedly, a woman and a few children were inside the home. Innis and DeLima warned the man and told him to put the knife down when he started approaching them “in a menacing manner.” Man got shot several times and later died at hospital, the report says. The deputies are now on administrative leave.
The department said that the man had been previously charged with 30 felonies.
