Donald Trump skips White House Correspondents Dinner

The US President Donald Trump skipped the White House Correspondents Association Dinner, an annual gala, held in Washington, April 27, saying that it’s “boring and negative.”

“Trump says the WHCA dinner is “so boring” and negative he’s going to do a MAGA rally instead.

‘I like positive things,’ he says,” posted Jennifer Jacobs of Bloomberg News on Twitter.

Last year Donald Trump did not attend the dinner either and went for a rally in Michigan, where he told the crowd, “Is this better than that phony Washington White House Correspondents’ dinner? Is this more fun? I could be up there tonight smiling, like, I love when they’re hitting you, shot after shot. These people, they hate your guts and you know, you gotta smile. And if you don’t smile they’ll say, ‘He was terrible. He couldn’t take it.’ And if you do smile, they’ll say, ‘What was he smiling about?!’ You know, there’s no win.” After the Dinner president posted on Twitter, “The White House Correspondents’ Dinner is DEAD as we know it. This was a total disaster and an embarrassment to our great Country and all that it stands for. FAKE NEWS is alive and well and beautifully represented on Saturday night!”

Donald Trump attended the dinner in 2017 and was hatefully criticized throughout the event.
