Donald Trump Jr. has agreed to be interviewed by the US Senate Intelligence Committee in mid-June, media reports said Tuesday. The panel issued a subpoena against Trump Jr. last week, requesting him to appear before the Committee, led by Richard Burr, a Republican.
People with knowledge of the matter said that panel’s senators hope to cover a wide range of topics, including Trump Jr.’s 2017 testimony, Trump Tower project in Moscow and a meeting between Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, Paul Manafort, Trump campaign manager, and Natalia Veselnitskaya, Russian Lawyer, in Trump Tower in June 2016. The New York Times first reported about the agreement, suggesting that the interview questions would be mainly focused on the meeting with Veselnitskaya and Trump Jr.’s links to Russian officials.
Trump Jr.’s lawyer has not made any comments yet.
