Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya gave the interview to the BBC. However, more than half of said was not included into the media report.
The conversation of the lawyer with the BBC journalists took more than two hours, and Veselnitskaya provided details on each question. “90 percent of what I told the Western media was not transmitted to the audience,” said Veselnitskaya.
According to Veselnitskaya, the reason for “understatement” is the editorial policy of the television company, which severely suppresses most of the information according to the government’s policy.
Moreover, Veselnitskaya was not even provided with “raw” interview materials, which makes it impossible to prove that the published interview with the BBC has excluded most of the facts.
